Eisenhower is dedicated to the highest level of community support and encourages its attorneys to be active in their communities. Their positive efforts receive support both from the firm and from colleagues. Every attorney at Eisenhower participates in community projects. Our efforts range from fund raisers for organizations such as Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Asia Pacific Cultural Center to direct contributions for development of our community through organizations such as Lutheran Social Services, to individual attorneys literally rolling up their sleeves and assisting projects organized by groups such as Paint Tacoma Beautiful and Habitat for Humanity.
We are proud to share just a few examples of the fine contributions Eisenhower attorneys have made to our community:
Richard D. Turner: Past President of the Tacoma YMCA Board of Directors
Robert Baronsky: Member, Regional Advisory Board, Antidefamation League
James M. Hushagen: Officer, the Board of Regents, Pacific Lutheran University
Robert G. Casey: Board Member, Tacoma Public Utilities
Angelia D. Wesch: Member, Tacoma Pierce County Economic Development Board
Jason M. Whalen: Member, Board of Directors, Lakewood Family YMCA
Clemencia Castro-Woolery: Vice President, Asia Pacific Cultural Center Board of Directors
Jennifer A. Wing: Member, LAW (Legal Aid for Washington) Fund Board

Paint Tacoma Beautiful-2005

Eisenhower participated in 2005 Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful by painting the home of an elderly disabled homeowner in Tacoma. Forty-one attorneys, staff and their family members spent several evenings and two Saturdays scraping, painting and doing repair work at the home. “We receive far more than we give in taking on a project such as this,” said Bob Casey, who was the “foreman” of the project for the firm. “There is a great deal of satisfaction in helping someone in need, working together as a team on a project where you can see a tangible difference, and knowing that we did a great job. The turn-out from attorneys, staff and their families was outstanding,” said Casey.
The Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful program is organized by Associated Ministries in Tacoma which qualifies low-income and disabled homeowners and coordinates painting crews from businesses, churches and other groups in the area. www.paintbeautiful.org. Eisenhower also painted a home through the program in 2003.
2004 Hunger Walk
Eisenhower supports its families as they support the community. Pictured are Eisenhower member Amy Lewis, her two sons, Thomas and Connor, and Debbie Hushagen, wife of Eisenhower member Jim Hushagen, as they began this fall's Pierce County Hunger Walk.
Organized by Associated Ministries, the Hunger Walk raised over $200,000 to feed the hungry in Pierce County. Eisenhower generously supported Amy, Thomas, Connor and Debbie as they walked the 10K course.
We are honored to serve the Tacoma, Seattle and greater Puget Sound community.
