Primary Areas of Practice:
Commercial trial lawyer in state and federal courts, with special emphasis in transportation, banking and
employment matters. Also frequently serves as an arbitrator on the Commercial Panel of the American
Arbitration Association. In 2006-2007, served on a panel of arbitrators in a $147 million commercial
arbitration case. In 2002-2004 served as lead counsel for defendants in settling a wage-and-hour class
action involving more than 150 owner-operators who alleged that they were employees of two motor carriers.
In 2001, obtained $2.65 million federal RICO civil judgment on behalf of a national client. In 1993 was
lead counsel in obtaining $2.9 million antitrust judgment in favor of rural electric cooperative against
Washington's largest electric utility.
