Eisenhower member Jason Whalen elected to Lakewood City Council

Jason M. Whalen, a member of Eisenhower since 1993, was elected to the City Council of Lakewood, Washington in the November 3 general election. Jason joins another Eisenhower member, Don Anderson, who has served on the Lakewood Council since 2007 as its Deputy Mayor. Lakewood was incorporated in 1996 and is the second largest city in Pierce County, with a population of approximately 60,000 residents.

Jason practices primarily in real estate and commercial litigation. He is currently a member of the Planning Advisory Board for the City of Lakewood, a member of Lakewood Rotary, and a member of the Advisory Council to the Madigan Foundation. Jason was previously elected as a Commissioner to the 2006 Pierce County Charter Review Commission, and served on the boards for the Lakewood YMCA, the local chapter of the American Red Cross, and in various leadership positions at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Lakewood.
